Hi there. I know, it’s been a really long while. You still look great. Where have I been? Everywhere, and nowhere. That’s for another post. I took a break from blogging, and as I share my goals for 2016, summed up in two words like Chris Guillebeau or Maria do every year, I still only hope that I’ll go back on the horse and keep the blogging going. I don’t have three months of posts in my queue, I have a fair bit of international travel planned for Q1 so maybe this is the only post you’ll get. But it will give me the accountability I need, putting these thoughts out there. So without further ado, the two words that will be the guideline for my 2016 goals are
Investing and mindfulness
Invest in myself comes first. I want to invest in me because I am my most valuable asset. Without me functioning, well, things would be complicated. The focus includes investing in my health, eating healthy, taking care of myself and exercising, as well as investing in training, books, and whatever course would help improve my life or my business.
Invest in the blogs I have been very ungrateful to these blogs in 2015, as they continued to provide a solid income, I barely reinvested to make them grow more. As a result, I’m pretty much in the same place I was last January. My hourly rate is awesome, but I have plateaued. I am all ears if you know a good graphic designer for Genesis. We’re long overdue for a fresh look.
Invest my money I have let money grow on auto pilot this year as well, and certainly not maximized the returns I could get. The plan is to challenge liquid asset allocations and make money work harder for me.
Mindfulness is the second goal, as I have been pretty distracted lately. It hasn’t been the best year, and some of it has been my fault, for not being in the moment or not paying attention to my doing.
Mindful actions Sometimes it looks like I am away. I am there but my mind is not. As a result I can burn my bread, watch a movie and not remember it, or forget personal belongings everywhere. I want to fully live the moment. One thing at a time, well done.
Mindful relationships That includes getting rid of toxic people and giving more time, attention and dedication to the lovely people in my life. Be thankful for friends, and enter only positive relationships, or cut them short as soon as I don’t receive as much as I give.
So I hope to be around more this year, and wish you a very Happy and prosperous New Year!

Hey Pauline! We missed you! I think mindfulness is always a goal for me…but then I tend to forget. Oh the irony! 🙂

Happy New Year Tonya! Yeah I’m very guilty of that too, I have to refocus constantly.. Like the goldfish in Finding Nemo haha.

Hi Pauline, I have lived in Northern Thailand for the past few years…….and some of that time was spent living in a mindful community which I loved. Mindfulness has made be less reactive in difficult emotional circumstances and more able to observe. I’m hoping to cut back my possessions this year and live more simply! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
