PIZZA! It doesn’t matter if you live in Venice Beach, California or Venice Italy, pizza is universally loved. So when you love something, you definitely don’t want to give it up due to a lack of funds. So no matter how broke you may be – it’s important to always find room for your pizza budget.
To that end, this blog post will tell you exactly how to save money on your next pizza party. The tips are easy, actionable and you won’t even have to beg your friends to chip in. Let’s get the party started:
Buy 2-Liter Bottles
The larger the size of bottles of soda you buy, generally the cheaper it will be. Opt for large sizes and glasses rather than buying tons of individual bottles. It also gives the party a much more communal feel. Parties are always better when there’s group cohesion. But do ask your guests if anyone likes a sort of specialty drink. Because then it’ll be best to perhaps buy in a smaller quantity. Rule number one for saving money is not to waste!
Embrace the Cheese and Veggie Lovers
It’s easy to make fun of people who only like cheese on their pie or people who prefer veggies over meat. But embrace their desires in part because these toppings are far cheaper than loading up a 3-meat special with 3 feet of bacon. So next time someone wants cheese or veggie – happily oblige! And remember that a cheese pizza makes a pretty awesome cheese stick when you think about it. And that brings us to our next point…
Make Your Own Sides
If you’re throwing the party at home, fire up your own kitchen for sides. You can make breadsticks, salads and more without too much effort. This helps save money because pizza places often charge really high prices for the sides. Plus, you can make the meal healthier if you make some sides at home.
Promo Codes!
Bring your coupons! It’s such an easy way to save. Use a Papa Murphey’s promo code if you have one in your area. Not only will it save you money but Papa Murphey’s pizza is much cheaper than most places. Why? Because you buy it fresh and bake it at home! The instructions come with the pizza so it’s easy peasy!
Carry-Out Instead of Order-In
Ordering in is expensive. What with the cost of fuel, paying a driver and more you can see why. So instead, head out for a some fun on the town and then pick up the ‘za on your way back home. It only takes a few minutes and it can even be sort of fun to visit the pizza shop.
Enjoy your next ‘za party!!!

I am a pizza lover and as long as it has melted cheese and bacon, I grab one. Haha! It’s so delicious especially when there’s pineapple.

Pizza is great. We just started to make our own on the BBQ using a pizza stone. So great!!! Our newest flavor is prosciutto and arugula with some olive oil and balsamic drizzled over top.

Love the tips, but you’re making me hungry now and I shouldn’t eat this late at night!! 🙂
I agree that you can definitely save a lot from the carryout option.
