Today I registered to join the Digital #NomadCruise and sail for 14 days with 150 other digital nomads and entrepreneurs from the Canary Islands to Dominican Republic. I’m super excited! An no, I’m not getting compensated to promote or say any of this 🙂
The idea is to get together with like minded people for a couple of weeks of fun, networking, workshops… and simply enjoying the fact that it is rare to get so many digital nomads in the same place at the same time. I know that too well. My friends are scattered all over the world.
After investigating a bit, it looks like digital nomad events are starting to pop up all over. There are meetings once a year like FinCon for Financial Bloggers.
There is Terminal 3, another digital nomad trip where they take a group and you spend a month in six countries for a total of six months, sharing nice housing, co-working space and discovering the countries together. And while I wouldn’t go on something like that, since it seems like a big baby-sitting thing, for as comfy as it may be not to have to look for accommodation for six months, the cruise seems awesome.
I mean what’s not to like?
The price is super low: 730 euros, or just over $800 for 14 days. That’s under $60 a day, including all meals, most beverages (yes, beer and cocktails too!) and tips. Why so cheap? Because they reposition a ship for the season and it would sail empty otherwise.
Then every day is packed with workshops, mastermind groups, talks and other social activities to network with fellow nomads. Looks like many people stay around and travel together for a bit after the cruise is over.
Registrations or rather applications close tomorrow July 1st at 8pm Berlin Time. You can click here to apply. Looks like they have about 200 applications for 150-ish spots. I’d say with people who don’t follow through, everyone who is serious about going should get a spot. See you there?
You will have a blast!!!
I’ve been to all the islands except the Canary Islands and they are GREAT!!!
I recommend “Antigua by Sea” in Antigua and “Tiami Sail” in Barbados as two of the best excursions I’ve ever been on.
Have a great time!!!!
Thanks for the recommendations! I know most of the Canary Islands, been there a dozen times, but it will be nice to visit again. And DomRep, which I’m not super excited about, but I’m really looking forward to the other ones.
So jealous! But you guys go have a great time..
Still time to book a spot 🙂
I see you will be visiting my neck of the woods on your trip. Let me if you need some ideas.
