Lately, I have had problems concentrating. I am back in Paris, have lots of people to visit, I am also staying with my mum and helping her around the house. Plus that housing situation at 32 is not optimal. Anyway, I have postponed a lot of things for too long. So I am setting some concrete goals for September, and will review them in a month.
Blog
-
Find a picture for each article. It is harder than I thought, if you respect copyright. I have a lot of personal pictures but not many related to finance.
-
Update SEO on each article. I use a SEO add-on on WordPress, so I will have to add titles, description and keywords on some articles.
-
Link my articles between themselves. Many have no links and are related to old posts.
-
Update the Tweet and FB like buttons on each article. They haven’t been working properly.
-
Create my Facebook app. This one has been postponed ever since I created the blog! It is needed to have a Facebook widget on the blog, and so that people can follow me on FB.
-
Update my Twitter account. Make some lists to see through all the people I follow.
-
Download Dreamweaver to brush up my blog’s design! I use this awesome theme but need some personal adjustments that I can’t manage to do on WordPress, since I don’t know the first thing about PHP and I think I already broke something! I leave this one for last since there is a 30 days trial on Dreamweaver and I don’t want to download and then do nothing for 30 days.

Spend nothing!
I wish… Every time I am back in town I spend a lot going out to visit friends. I have less money this month because I have to pay about $1000 in taxes that was not expected, and the sale of my apartment fell through, so I won’t see that big check in October either. I have to keep paying the condo fee for the apartment, and the secure door that I am renting, and it costs about $400 per month. So that’s $1400 out of nowhere. I really need to minimize spending. Already staying with my mum so no rent!

Cycle or public transportation
I am lazy, and now that I have a motorcycle, it is easy to just take it out to visit friends. Paris is a complicated city to park, and people ride like crazy. So every time I go out, I am putting myself at risk, and spending money on gas. I will take my bicycle out of my mum’s storage this week and cycle around or take the subway. Plus I can drink with my friends and not worry about a DUI!
-
Work
I need a bit of cash so will have to find a temp job or write more. I have contacts for both.
-
Landlording
One of my tenant in the UK gave notice so I have to find a new one by the end of the month. My flat is usually quite popular and people are back to school looking for housing so it should be an easy one.
-
Studio flat
My Parisian studio was supposedly sold and the buyer got cold feet. I will put adds anywhere I can to try and sell it.
That’s all for now!

Sounds like a reasonable list of goals.
For pictures, I would pay for stock images. The protection and respect of copyright is important. I do this and it works great. Plus I like feeling that I am safe and won’t get in trouble for using a certain image.

yes, I’ll look into that, and will try to take some picture myself too, you can’t go wrong with that!
